transitional

This is one of my outfits from my trip to Paris earlier this summer and it also works perfectly for the transition from summer to fall- layering is key! It was still pretty chilly there so I loved this J.crew military jacket because it's light weight and a good wind-breaker. Converse are always my travel go-to because they are cute and comfy for walking around everywhere.  The striped tee is an old Vince one that I borrowed from my mom... Here is a similar one. The Stella & Dot necklace/bracelets are also old but I love/want this new necklace and this new bangle paired with my forever-favorite Michael Kors watch. My grandma graciously got me the ring pictured from a boutique on a random Paris street that we came across on our walking tour of the city- I love how simple it is! These Joes jeans are my absolute favorites- they feel like pajamas but don't look like jeggings. This Michael Kors purse was a purchase for my trip because I needed a good staple to go with everything... and it was perfect! Lastly, I wear these gradient Ray Bans everyday- they are especially flattering for blondes.

Photos were taken on a rooftop patio of the Musée d'Orsay... photo credit goes to my travel buddy Micah Sims!

Engraved

I love the new Stella & Dot Engravables... you can customize dog tags and other fun items! They aren't crazy expensive but they look beautiful. The chain is also fun because its really sparkly which is unusual for a ball-chain. I added two fun charms from the local San Diego boutique Pink Lagoon. This is a great all-year jewelry piece that is so simple and goes with everything since you can mix it up, add charms, put it on a short chain, etc.! For work I paired it with a Rebecca Taylor simple silk top (similar here), white Paige jeans, my favorite silver/gold Sam Edelman flats (light gold), and two David Yurman bangles. Engrave away!

france look I

Hello long-lost readers! I am sorry that I have been offline for so long... I have been traveling and setting into my summer routine back at home. I will be posting some of my outfits from my recent trip to France. In this post, we were at the Normandy D-Day beach memorial site which was such a privilege to get to visit and honor those who fought for our country on the eve of D-Day's 70th anniversary. This is one of my favorites... I love the colorful scarf (thanks to my mom's closet) to brighten up the gray day. This Michael Kors rain coat is one of my favorites... it is light enough to travel with and not be too hot during spring showers. I borrowed this sweater from my mom which I promptly ordered for myself after my trip because I loved it so much! I am in love with light pink this season and the zipped shoulders are a fun detail. These Sam Edelman flats will be featured in a lot of my looks because they are so comfortable to walk around and travel in! They are the perfect mix between silver and gold so they go with everything and I love the reptile texture. Lastly, I love this sparkly headband because it makes a 5-second hairdo look fun and pulled together! Shop away!

new for spring

I just got this Stella & Dot bag and I am in love... I get so many compliments on it and it goes with every outfit! It has a fun little pouch attached on the inside too to keep things organized. It was time for a new Rouge & Co phone case, which are the only cases that survive the amount of falls that my phone takes every day, and I loved this chevron one! The Urban Outfitters orange eyelet dress is so fun and perfect for summer. I like that it has a higher neckline so is modest enough to wear to class or work. I am also super into easy t-shirts this season and I love this Jcrew striped one! Finally, pale pink is my favorite color lately and this Essie nail polish is perfect... I find that most pale pink polishes end up more neutral, and I like that this one is brighter and stands out. Enjoy!

travel with sparkle

The newest addition to my closet are these awesome Splendid sparkly tennies. If you have ever worn anything Splendid, you already know how comfy they are. They were perfect to wear on my flight home for Easter! I also am loving all of the graphic and striped t-shirts that are out right now. This is one that I just got from Jcrew... they have some great options and a lot are also on sale... check it out! Throw on a comfy open cardigan over the t-shirt like my Hard Tail one and a pair of boyfriend jeans and you're good to go!

t-shirt (old but on sale in different pattern) - shoes (on sale... going fast!) - watch pictured in previous post (Michael Kors) - bracelets are David Yurman - cardigan

spring chill

If you live on the east coast... you are experiencing the same spring-blues that I am... 80 degrees to 40 degrees? Not fun. This is one of the hardest times of the years to dress because you can't wear winter clothes and you can't wear summer. I bought this lightweight pale pink sweater from Jcrew for just that reason... it is perfect for days like this. The Jcrew quilted vest is also a great layer to throw on for the chillier mornings and nights. Per usual, I am reppin' Stella & Dot jewelry... I love this layered necklace set that I got last summer... they are great together or apart. I also always resort to the slinky bracelet because it is so easy and adds a fun element to any outfit. Last but definitely not least, I coveted these Frye boots for 2 years and admired them on my mom every day she wore them... Santa was kind enough to bring them to me for Christmas and I have worn them endlessly since :). They are so comfortable, casual, and fun.

Vest is old and sold out (they should have a new version this Fall... sorry!) - sweater (30% off right now with code!) - boots - necklace set - bracelet - watch - David Yurman cuff

summer picks

Summer is so close and every time the season changes you obviously want some new outfits! Over Spring Break, my dog chewed up all of my bathing suits so I purchased these two... I love the fit of both of them... and the colors look great when you're tan! The Victoria's Secret pants and white cover-up are so flowy and easy, and go with anything. The coral Roxy coverup has cutouts down the arms and is so comfy (also great when tan). Every summer calls for a new pair of Havaiana's and a Billabong trucker hat... both perfect for beach days. Alba is my favorite lotion year-round but the scent is especially perfect in the summer- papaya mango. The Stella & Dot wrap bracelet is fun for a pop of summer color- I always love turquoise with white or black summer dresses. Lastly... I have been on the search for fun rompers and found this one for cheap on Tobi... easy and comfy! Surf Spray is self explanatory :).

monogram love

Sorry for the lack of posts lately... but what better way to come back than with monograms?! Nothing is more fun in Spring than cute and colorful name-reppin gear. My mom got me the C Wonder candle as an apartment-warming gift and it smells so yummy! One of my friends (shoutout to Shaye Cooper and her mom) were so sweet to also get me an apartment warming gift of the acrylic C.... it is so fun on my bedside table. My family is a HUGE fan of the Rouge & Co plastic plates... so cute and easy. Similarly, the only phone case I will use is the Rouge & Co monogrammed one... I drop my iPhone way too much and it has saved its life on multiple occasions... while still looking cute! Everything else I am dying to have! Also... all of these come in many different patterns and color combinations... enjoy!

day to night 2

DAY

NIGHT

I first of all love Alice + Olivia. I second of all love sales (especially for their brand since it is so expensive). I third of all love nude. I fourth of all love flowy dresses. So there you go. This is such a fun spring combination that can also go into summer and then fall with a fun leather jacket or cute blazer. The nylon Marc Jacobs bag in the day look is awesome because it will last for forever (my sister has it and I'm jealous). The Kendra Scott necklace and earrings are awesome and could go with so many different looks (they also come in a ton of colors). The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in the night look is the perfect bronze flush for this outfit. And maroon nails flatter every skin tone and every outfit!

day to night

DAY

NIGHT

I love shift dresses because they can basically work with any look, time, or event :). For the day look, I love all of the bohemian chunky necklaces that are out for Spring and Summer. I also am really into the teeny wedge sandals... finally some comfortable heels that you can wear everyday! For the night look, I am pretty picky about my statement necklaces but I love these colors to contrast with the dress color and they are both simple enough to go with a lot. The Bobbi Brown eye palette is perfect for a bronze/gold smokey eye to dress it up for night. I also am a huge fan of the Stila lip glosses, thanks to my mom!

formal look- the romantic

I love this beautiful lace dress. I think it speaks to so many different styles. Emerald green is my favorite pop of color, which is why I gravitated towards those shoes, but the classic black would also look awesome. Wearing this look with classic Hollywood waves and a dramatic cat eye with liquid liner would be stunning!

formal look- girly & flirty

This look speaks to my personal style :)... I can never get enough pink and glitter! This $12 belt is a steal from Target. Strappy sandal heels are my favorite kind for a date party... they are so flattering and simple. I always get my going out clutches from Aldo because they are a great price, look good, and I don't mind if a drink spills on them :). I am the biggest fan of the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick... this is their new peach palette and it's perfect for a going-out rosy glow!

formal look- the classic

I don't know about you... but greek semi-formal and formal season is my favorite time of year. Who doesn't love an excuse to get a new dress when we don't have prom anymore :). I love this classic look because you can wear it to so many other types of events and vary it endlessly. You can never get tired of it and people never remember a specific LBD... more for your money :). Also, I am obsessed with the new caged sandal heel trend!
Stay tuned for more looks!
